About Us

Founded in 2013, English Club Laos is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to providing free and affordable English language education to young people in Luang Prabang and remote communities across Northern Laos.

Laos remains one of the least developed countries in the Asia–Pacific region, where access to quality education is still limited, especially in rural areas. For many young Laotians, learning English can be life-changing, it opens the door to better job opportunities, higher education, and improved livelihoods. At English Club Laos, we believe education is a pathway to empowerment, and English is a valuable tool for building brighter futures

Our Mission To provide high-quality English language education that equips young people in Laos with the skills, confidence and opportunities to improve their lives and contribute to their communities.

What We Do

We offer structured English courses for students from diverse backgrounds, including those from economically disadvantaged families and remote villages. Our programs combine:

• Professional instruction from qualified Lao teachers
• Conversational practice led by international volunteers
• Interactive learning activities that build confidence and real communication skills
• Community values that encourage responsibility, discipline, and cultural exchange
• Whether students aim to work in tourism, apply for scholarships, or continue their studies abroad, our programs help them take the next step toward their goals.

Our Approach

We believe in practical, student-centered learning. Classes focus on listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, with an emphasis on communication. By integrating local teaching expertise with meaningful support from volunteers, we create a friendly, multicultural learning environment that inspires growth and opens minds.
